Situated in Kensington, this BBQ restaurant specializes in Texas-style ribs and brisket. The restaurant offers live music performances every Friday and Saturday at 8:30pm, so if you would like to enjoy live entertainment with your barbeque dinner, it’s best to visit on a weekend evening. Hayden Block also offers brunch where you can enjoy a Canadian classic - the bloody Caesar cocktail, so there’s never a bad time to visit.

This exceptional Moroccan eatery is sure to provide an amazing experience - packed with personality and flavor, the restaurant is home to North African tajines (i.e. stews), kebabs, and couscous specialties, flavored with subtle and aromatic spices that give its dishes a complex profile. Tagines are traditional Moroccan clay pots with conical lids used for slow-cooking, resulting in tender, succulent meat with well-infused flavors.

Nose Hill Park
The perfect place to escape the city and get out into nature for a relaxing walk, run, or hike. Nose Hill Park is a 1129 hectare park offering a plethora of trails offering stunning views of the city, the Rocky Mountains, the Bow River Valley, and the eastern plains. Offering the second-highest view of the city, Nose Hill Park was historically used by the Blackfoot First Nations as a lookout campsite. One of the best spots to view the city is the Siksikaitsitapi Medicine Wheel, which is a modern stone landmark that commemorates the historical value of the area.
Located just north of Calgary’s downtown core, Kensington is one of the best neighborhoods for shopping and dining. Check out Poppy Plaza for a stunning view of Calgary’s skyline, as it sits at the edge of the Bow River, or walkthrough Riley Park if you’re looking for a beautiful area to enjoy the outdoors.
Home of the 1988 Olympic Games, Canada Olympic Park is a premier facility for outdoor and indoor activities. The facility is operated by WinSport and offers a destination for skiing, snowboarding, mountain biking, mini golf, downhill karting, and skating. Regardless of the season, Canada Olympic Park has an activity to offer - or, if you prefer a more leisure experience, you can ride on the chairlift for the amazing views of the city.
